Founder Bio
Nicole Schlesinger is a dedicated and passionate educator. She believes all students should feel successful (confident) with their learning and as a result, puts her heart into creating and teaching curriculum and content that will make students feel victorious. Her curriculum and content is tailored to each student and is guided by the belief that learning should be fun, meaningful, and engaging.
Nicole received her M.A. in early childhood education and special education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a M.S. candidate in literacy education from Oneonta University. She is certified in early childhood education and students with disabilities from New York. She has taught students in grades pre-kindergarten through sixth. In addition to having experience as a school teacher, Nicole also works as a curriculum content and development freelancer. Her most recent work consisted of researching, creating and writing English language workbooks for a textbook series for English as a second language students in 4th and 5th grade.
Nicole’s specialities are literacy and special education. She is experienced in the special education areas of ADHD, executive functioning, language impairments, and learning disabilities. Nicole is enthusiastic about all areas of literacy and delights in helping students develop their grammar and spelling using patterns, their reading using the five pillars of literacy, their writing using creative prompts, and their listening and speaking using games. She is trained in the Orton-Gillingham methodology and loves using it to teach phonics. Nicole also enjoys utilizing her literacy pedagogy to help English language learners.
